The Roar story
Roar started in 2021 with one job: build the carbon mountain eBike we wanted to ride — light, honest and tough — and sell it in Melbourne at a fair price.
Roar is run by one person who builds every bike, and a group of mates who do their best to break them. By day it's an IT career; on weekends it's a workshop in Melbourne and trips like the ones in theride stories.
The recipe hasn't changed: a full-suspension Toray carbon frame, a certified Bafang mid-drive, an 840 Wh battery, and components chosen because they survive real trips — then the whole bike gets ridden before it's sold. No showroom mystique, no rental schemes. You buy the bike, you own the bike, and you deal directly with the person who built it.
